November began like any other month. I enjoyed my last bit of sunny days by the pool and in the garden.

Quickly I realized this wasn’t just any other month. This is the month of New Beginnings. Every day, I acknowledge that I walk in the favor of the Lord. He has always been there, and I know that He will continue to guide my steps as long as I continue to seek Him. So as this new beginning unfolded before me, all I could do was trust in Him.

I had the chance to get away for the weekend and headed to the farm with some close friends.

It’s always wonderful to spend time away with amazing people; these moments are what I cherish the most.

During our weekend, we watched movies, played board games, sat by the fire, and simply had the best time together.

Some might say that this was the most challenging experience of their lives, but thankfully, my story reads differently. This month changed my life forever, and I can’t express how grateful I am for it.

Even during this time of confusion I continued to live fully. We spent nights on the lake, enjoying the little moments.

Jess and I paddled around the pond, collecting a bunch of dried lilies that I was able to use for Thanksgiving. They were beautiful.

When I returned home, I had the honor of organizing Baby Gee’s gender reveal. Mindy and Jesse chose a “Lil Sunshine” theme, and it was precious.

Everyone was filled with excitement as we gathered together.

“It’s a GIRL!!!” Everyone cheered with joy. Baby Gee you are already so loved.

As the month progressed and everything felt strange, we still found comfort in our cherished tradition of gathering with the Gee’s at Granny’s. Even though everything was different I am thankful for the change.

Thanksgiving Day was spent with family. Even though we aren’t all blood related we all share the love of Christ. Unless you have felt that kind of love you can’t truly comprehend it; it’s unconditional.

I’m beyond thankful to call them family and can’t wait to see where this New Beginning leads us.
